This paper deals with development of a“micom car<in order to attend the Japan Micom Car Rally. This small vehicle named micom car,which is controlled by a microcomputer,traces white line painted on a technical race course. The time to go around the course is contended in the Rally. In order to win the race,high speed run is required for straight,curved and cranked course. Furthermore,stable and exact line tracing and accurate acceleration and deceleration should be realized. The developed car cannibalizes a chassis and a transmission system of a RC(radio controlled)car on the market. The driving motor is changed to satisfy the above-mentioned specifications.
